CSV-P will be unveiled at the 4th Agribusiness Roundtable International Conference in Uyo — aligning with President Tinubu’s Food Security Roadmap, the AU Agenda 2063, and Akwa Ibom’s Arise Agenda.

Akwa Ibom State is set to host the 4th Agribusiness Roundtable International Conference — a strategic gathering of policymakers, investors, researchers, and farmer cooperatives aimed at repositioning agriculture as the engine of Nigeria’s economic growth.

This year’s conference will spotlight food security, climate-smart farming, and regenerative value chains — themes that resonate directly with AgroGreen Dynamics Ltd.’s flagship initiative: the Climate-Smart Village Programme (CSV-P).

🌱 What is CSV-P?
The AgroGreen Climate-Smart Village Programme (CSV-P) is Nigeria’s first national regenerative farming network designed to:

✅ Restore degraded soils with regenerative practices and zero-poison inputs (led by Humi[K] WSP®, AgroGreen’s official input solution).
✅ Boost smallholder productivity while reducing chemical dependency.
✅ Integrate value chains — from production to processing, storage, and exports.
✅ Build rural human capital through the Farmers Field School (FFS) — a “learn and earn” model that trains farmers, youth, and women on regenerative, climate-smart practices while linking them directly to market-driven production.
✅ Create new finance opportunities via Islamic-compliant agribusiness models and carbon credits.

Phase 1 begins with 100 pilot CSVs in 18 states, scaling toward a vision of 774 CSVs — one per Local Government Area in Nigeria.

🎤 Voices of Leadership

Briefing the media ahead of the conference, Howard Usen, South-South Zonal Coordinator of the National Association of Agricultural Development Institutions (NAADI) and Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, emphasized that:

“This year’s Agribusiness International Conference is not just another event. It is about unlocking agriculture’s role in economic growth, climate resilience, and food security across the South-South and beyond. Initiatives like the AgroGreen CSV Programme will ensure that our farmers, youth, and cooperatives are not left behind.”

The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excelency Pastor Umo Eno (Phd), and his colleagues from other South-South states are expected to headline the event, alongside the Honourable Ministers of Agriculture & Food Security (FMAFS), Industry, Trade & Investment (FMITI), and representatives from FACAN.

International development agencies and private sector players will also be in attendance, reinforcing CSV-P’s alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Agenda on Food Security, the Governor Umo Eno Arise Agenda, and the African Union Agenda 2063 (The Africa We Want).

 🧑‍🏫 Expert Spotlight

At the Roundtable, Dr. Ekanem Abasiekong Etuk, Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Calabar, will present on

“Climate-Smart Villages: Nigeria’s Transition to Food Security and Resilient Agriculture.”

Dr. Etuk, an expert in food security policy and climate-smart agriculture, will highlight CSV-P as a scalable model that bridges policy frameworks, international certifications, and farmer-level impacts.

🌍 Why CSV-P Matters

The CSV-P is more than a pilot project. It is:

  • A national proof-of-concept for how Nigeria can transition from subsistence to structured regenerative farming.
  • A bridge to international finance — aligning with GlobalG.A.P., HACCP/ISO 22000, and carbon-credit eligibility.
  • A farmer-first solution — empowering cooperatives, women, and youth with access to digital monitoring, Farmers Field School training, and sustainable livelihoods.
  • A strategic alignment tool — supporting Nigeria’s SDG commitments, President Tinubu’s food security drive, and Akwa Ibom’s vision of agricultural transformation.
